COCO SHAKTI

COCO SHAKTI was birthed from pure love, freedom of expression and complete devotion to the Divine Feminine.

The pride I carry in being Afro-Taina runs deep within the core of and meaning behind the name, Coco Shakti.

The Indigenous Goddess of my culture is named Atabey. She is the Supreme Goddess of all reality and is the Taino representation of the Divine Feminine, or Shakti. In Ayurveda Shakti is synonymous with Prakriti, which is the primordial energy behind all of creation and its sustenance. Purusha or pure consciousness, cannot know it self or experience itself without causal matter or Prakriti/Shakti. Shakti is why we are here.

It has been a journey in my life coming to terms with and owning the intersectionality of my identity, thus Coco is in reverence to the light codes of Mama Africa embedded in my melanin…it is my hope that in all that I channel as offerings to the collective, support and elevate ALL beings on this human journey.

Additionally, in Vedic tradition coconuts are viewed as fruit of the Gods. The hard shell representing our Ego and the sweet tender meat within is our Soul. Coconuts are my absolute favorite food and truly one of the most versatile & abundanlty giving things on this planet. Milk, Water, and Oil? I mean come on <3

In all seriousness, Coco Shakti is based on the elemental grounding force of Earth energy, that is this beautiful planet we all inhabit and receive from.

Our infinite potential to create as part of THE creation, is miraculous.Coco Shakti serves as an earthly and nourishing expression of the divine feminine that wishes to activate the innate healer within.
